Rainy day

It's been raining and cloudy since yesterday.

The sky is gray and it is hard to motivate myself.... I feel a bit weak.

I invited a couple of friends to my place to celebrate Japanese New Year on New Year's day. I served some sake and traditional Japanese food which I made.

The year of 2011 is the year of the rabbit and I got "a cute Japanese rabbit" as a surprise gift from my friend. It's an adorable.. He bought it at Kiteya which is one of my favorite Japanese gift shops. I had a great first day of 2011 with warm people.

Lovely Jennifer is visiting NY from LA in February. She is a talented textile designer. Please check out her store!

New Amsterdam Market

Joanne and I went to New Amsterdam Market last Sunday.

Unfortunately, it was very windy and rainy day but I still enjoyed the market.

There were some coffee vendors at the market, so I tried stumptown's coffee and it was good!

So glad to see her again in NY! I had a great good time with her.

Hope she has a safe trip back home to Montreal tomorrow...

It was raining yesterday. It was humid and warm around 70 degrees which was unusual! I love this kind of the weather in October. Even November and December would be nice...

My friend is visiting NY with her 3 year old son and her mom from Japan, and they are going to stay in my place, so I was cleaning the rooms and went grocery shopping this evening. I haven't seen my friend for almost 20 years, so I am so excited to see her!
