Corner view / Street fashion - late 70s

kindergarten uniform

The theme of corner view this week is street fashion.
I was inspired by jgy corner view this week.
She has posted some photos of her daughter carrying
a Japanese school bag, randoseru.
I still remember that I was
carrying red randoseru while I was in elementary school.

So, I am still in the mood for the late 70s and I decided to
post some photos of my early childhood.

This is a photo of me and my grandmother in my hometown.
She was lovely lady and I remember that she always wore kimono.

Please check out Spain daily to see other corner views!

I'll think of you for your french test! Good luck!

Today I'll post a message on my blog: pants and shirt for my little boy (14 months old)!... So cute!
And after, I think I will sew something for me with the beautiful fabrics I've received...

the kids look so cute in their uniforms. and what a stylish lady, your grandmother was. there's just something extremely feminine about a kimono.

Hi Natsumi,
Sorry I'm late to corner view. Thank you for the link to my corner:)
I love your photos, it's interesting how in some ways it feels very different from Japan now, and in some way the view of the kindergarten children with their red hats continues. The photo of you and your grandmother is beautiful. You are lucky to have such a special and precious box of childhood memories, surely they are with you in all the beautiful things you do today.

PS this 'tsuyu' is so unusual, it has hardly been raining; maybe it has changed course to NY this year?!

hope you had a good weekend ♡

PS I love your sketch of the school bag; your bag or a new way to bring back the randoseru into something nostalgic and fashionable:)

Hope the rain clears up soon there,
Joanne
