Sketches

I am sorry for my late update...

Maybe I have allergies? For some reason, I have a persistent cough that has been hanging around for a month and makes me exhausted.
Does anyone have the same symptom? I used to take some medicines but I stopped because nothing was helpful.
I am living in the city, so air pollution and dust could be causing health problems...

I have been drawing and painting a lot for designing greeting cards.
I will tell you more about it next time!

Have a great weekend, everyone! xo

Have you ever tried thyme tea? It's good for persistent coughs and is naturally antiseptic. Here's how to make it if you're interested:

1 cup boiling water
1 teaspoon dried thyme
Steep thyme in the hot water for 10 minutes, strain out the thyme, and add honey. Lots of honey - it's a little medicinal tasting : )

You can have up to 3 cups per day.

Hope you feel better soon!

P.S. I love your watercolor bear.

I was also going to say the thyme tea too. Hope it works for you. I just saw that you were a contributor to "An Imaginery Band" - I found that blog last year, before I found this one, and thought it was great. Why did it stop?
Cute little bears.
Enjoy the weekend.

Natsumi:
Almost everyone I know has had this illness. It may be allergies (the pollen count is very high this year, and even people who don't usually experience allergy symptoms are presenting with them this year), or possibly a viral infection.
I had a sore throat, that lasted about 1 day- then turned into congestion- upper respiratory infection- with a persistent cough (that was usually worse at night). It lasted for about two-three weeks. Whooping cough infections are also on the rise this year. I chalk it up to a bad economy, everyone being stressed- leading to weakened immune systems.
Codeine cough syrup worked for me, along with fluids and rest.
Hope you feel better soon.

Lovely little bears.
I hope you get well soon. Allergies are so strange. Some years, I get them. And other years are just fine. Usually, I use homeopathy to get some relief.

that's really great:)

persistent cough sounds like asthma to me... the same kind I have. pollution does not help, for sure.

Love your drawings Natsumi and can't wait to hear more about the card project!

I have bad allergies all year long, in every season, but I have never had a cough like I have now. It's something new for me. Interesting you do too, and interesting what Jennifer said as well. huh?

Hi Natsumi,
How are you feeling? I hope your cough is better.
It's true there are many allergies now with the air quality, could be that but I hope you can find what it is and take care:)
The bears are so precious, I love seeing your drawings, good luck with the greeting cards, xoJoanne

Yaaay drawings! ..of Bears!! double yaaay!

I used to have a persistent cough as well, I thought it was nothing, one medicine take, it's gone and coming back again in a few days. I went to check it up and it was TB, deadly serious. You might want to consult your doctor too, just in case.

Get well soon Natsumi. It might be the pollution. Landon and I both had dry cough when we visited China. Even though I have lived 21 years in my country... Try some Chinese remedy- Warm Pear soup with ice sugar
