corner view / Spring







It's sakura (cherry blossom) season in Japan!
People go to park to have "hanami" which is the time when people view
and appreciate the short-lived cherry flowers. People gather to celebrate and
have a picnic feast/party under the cherry blossom trees.

See above for what to bring for "hanami party".
Don't forget to bring a garbage bag!

Oh I wanted so bad to go for a hanami party for the school holidays but couldn't get a flight, maybe next time. I really want to see the cherry blossoms. I imagine it to be so beautiful.

What lovely pictures! just the perfect things for hanami! I was in Tokyo a year ago today doing just that in Shinjuku-Gyoen Park - amazing!! I'd love to be there again!

We had a day where it seemed like all the flowering pear trees were shaking their blossoms loose - big clouds of petals - so lovely.... I love how the Japanese have a way of celebrating this...
