corner view / love

Again, so sorry for the delay of my post.
This week's corner view is "love".

Why is love so much pain?
I had to say "good-bye" to someone I love last year..
It was pain, so much pain...
but it helped me grow....

but....

More corner views...

Have a great weekend, everyone! ox

Nice. My 13 year old son wrote a poem about the pain of love for school. He cut out paper hearts for each verse, threaded it on gold wire and wore it as a necklace when he recited it to the class. Beautiful!

Your painting reminds me how love and life are connected... and how love - I can see the blood in our veins - can be strong and... terrifying !!!

Yes...the pain that comes with love can put some holes in your heart. But the great thing is...the power of love also can heal the heart, to make it whole again.
Have a wonderful Sunday Natsumi!

So honest and beautifully expressed.
I love the delicate edges of your heart paintings. Do you like Jim Dine? I really like his heart paintings, I just looked up one the other day, with the rainbow colors, just a minute I'll show you...

From love to hate is that far as from a bank to a river. It is one old proverb. Very true. The more you love the more you are able to hate.

Love those hearts. Could you send me some beautiful love ones?

Why does your "love is beautiful" heart still have a hole in it? A heart can break for many reasons ... hope your heart healed from its pain, Natsumi

Cate said...

yes! and yes! it does rip your heart open-hopefully so that something else can enter in.

that hole? perhaps that is the place where the new love can enter?

Sigh. I know. I left someone I spent 4 years with, last year. The pain still eats my heart every single day.

Beautiful, and true, sometimes love hurts, or you love someone so much that it hurts.

That's one of the things that makes it so hard to allow yourself to love - the fear of that loss. That has really hit home for me since becoming a mother. I live with that fear daily. The love I have for my daughter is so fierce, so passionate, that the fragility of that love is evident to me in every moment. It's terrifying and beautiful all at the same time.
