corner view / white

The theme of corner view this week is "white".

My friend brought me a lovely gift from Japan.
It's a tea set and I love the simplicity...

I have been living in NY for 10 years.. when I first moved to US, I didn't have much my possession. I had only a big baggage to carry... That's all.. but now, there are so much stuff in my place. Do I really need them?

I like the words, "quality is more important than quantity"

I want to have a minimal lifestyle....more my life simple...

It will also help refresh and clear my mind.

Yes, I decided to get rid of all my unnecessary stuff and donate some of them to The Salvation Army...

Please check out more white corner views!

hola,

lovely pics (and choice of theme).

I'm trying to learn that less is more too. I'm moving house soon so that'll hopefully solve the clutter issue. I've already dropped a few bags of clothes into amnesty international containers.
yay... to "decluttery" and beyond!

Something we aspire to live by is..."have nothing in your home that is not beautiful or useful." Yes, less is more. These photos are lovely!

Your design style is for sure minimalist: you can say a lot with very little. I must confess, I'd love to spend the next decade in NYC.

i do that often. i swear i can feel the positive energy! besos! and thanks for this week´s theme.

So delicate, as usual. I think my next tableware will be simply white.
I started to unclutter the appartment since we came back from holidays.
It's such a BIG thing to achieve, we accumulate so much stuff... no wonder I felt so often overwelmed when sitting at my desk!
;o)

Natsumi, I dreamt about your corner view last night, in my dream you had taken a picture of a green and blue quilt (?) as you answer to the White theme....very strange ;-) And I must say that these pictures are so much better than my dream :-D

Thank you for this week's theme. I felt your spirit during this week, looking at and for 'white'.
I think you embody 'white' and the appreciation of simplicity and clarity in all you do.

Lucky you have Salvation Army to give things too. Here it's hard to find where to donate things. So every so often we take a booth in a flea market and lighten up that way!

Happy beautiful white days to you, Natsumi:-)

The drops on the plate set my mind racing. Are they sweatdrops from serving? Tears from crying it eyes out? After all the set was brought from Japan. Whatever it was the photos are fantastic.

Greetings from London.

Hello,Natsumi-3!
What a nice gift!!!Really sinple & beautiful, exactly my style too.

Possessions usually expand gradually unconsciously,I also found many stuff in my room & basement store room in stockholm after 2 years I moved there. And I also like charity store,I both donate and purchase from salvation army, red cross, city mission owned stores where sell those things to make money for orphanage, homeless people.schools etc.I found "Good will"in USA in September.

Having things you like and need is cool and i agree with the idea you mntioned; "quality is more important than quantity

I have moved so very many times & agree that less is more- but oh, it can be hard to do! I have no furniture (we rent furnished homes wherever we go) but lots of clothes, art and art supplies that come along to help make me feel at home. Lovely post as usual!

Yes, less is more. Beautiful pictures.

Love your white theme! And you made me decide to clear the house of all the stuff I don´t need anymore.
Twice a year I clear out and feel much better.
Have a great Sunday!

I REALLY love these images. I think the Japanese interprets minimalism in their own unique way, one which I really adore. And I see it in your work :)

So beautiful, Natsumi-san - white is my favourite colour too. I totally agree about 'living simple' - I used to keep everything but now am much better and bring lots of stuff to charity shops :) Thank you for all the lovely links too, you are an inspiration! kx
