The theme of corner view this week is "white".
My friend brought me a lovely gift from Japan.
I have been living in NY for 10 years.. when I first moved to US, I didn't have much my possession. I had only a big baggage to carry... That's all.. but now, there are so much stuff in my place. Do I really need them?
I like the words, "quality is more important than quantity"
I want to have a minimal lifestyle....more my life simple...
It will also help refresh and clear my mind.
Yes, I decided to get rid of all my unnecessary stuff and donate some of them to The Salvation Army...
Please check out more white corner views!

hola,
lovely pics (and choice of theme).
I'm trying to learn that less is more too. I'm moving house soon so that'll hopefully solve the clutter issue. I've already dropped a few bags of clothes into amnesty international containers.
yay... to "decluttery" and beyond!
i agree. less is more.
to keep it pure and simple- like your photos!
thank you :)
Something we aspire to live by is..."have nothing in your home that is not beautiful or useful." Yes, less is more. These photos are lovely!
Your design style is for sure minimalist: you can say a lot with very little. I must confess, I'd love to spend the next decade in NYC.
i do that often. i swear i can feel the positive energy! besos! and thanks for this week´s theme.
So delicate, as usual. I think my next tableware will be simply white.
I started to unclutter the appartment since we came back from holidays.
It's such a BIG thing to achieve, we accumulate so much stuff... no wonder I felt so often overwelmed when sitting at my desk!
;o)
i totally agree! simplify, simplify! i just donated a bunch of my stuff to salvation army as well. it felt good!
Natsumi,
My husband and I are getting ready for a giant purge, too.
I am in love with your water droplets.
Great Corner view theme, and your post is sublime.
I'm in love with those water drops.
Great theme of corner view and what a great idea to get rid of all unnecessary stuff!
totally agree - less is more.

wonderful pictures, wonderful theme, wonderful tea set. thank you natsumi. wish you a happy week*
i completely agree- minimalism and simplicity all the way! :)
I couldn't agree more. Clear the clutter and clear the mind. White gives me that same feeling too. Great CV choice Natsumi. xo, j.
less IS more ..... but welcome to America where more is more ..... thanks for bringing a good reminder .... very peaceful
Yes, less is absolutely more. These pictures are peaceful and very beautiful. Good chosen theme.
Amazing, it's very (no word in english) "délicat" and "fragile" - I live your "eye" and your words. Thank you.
I like white too !!! Your white particularly !!! Beauty and simplicity... a kind of elaborate simplicity... A gift ! And a perfect choicie for a beautiful corner view !!
Natsumi, your words are so right...
And white is like black: simple and beautiful!
I love your photos!
I love that idea, somehow I imagine that it requires some courage to make a decision like that. good luck, I hope it makes you happier to have your life more simple :)

sigh. i know what you mean. just recently had a big clear-out and fleamarket sale. there's still so much stuff...

how true! i am slowly trying to unclutter my life and create more space and time for myself! your blog is so beautiful! love today's photos, too! thanks for a great theme!
Less is always what I strive for. Even kids these days have way too many toys and things.
love your pictures and love your words natsumi. great post!
Love your photos! I like white!:)
I love tea sets. I hope you keep all of yours.. did you throw out a lot of stuff to charity? That was very nice of you. I did that when I moved city in Australia. Too much stuff!
Natsumi, I dreamt about your corner view last night, in my dream you had taken a picture of a green and blue quilt (?) as you answer to the White theme....very strange ;-) And I must say that these pictures are so much better than my dream :-D
Simply beautiful my friend. More is less at times. Very nicely done! xoxo
These photos are wonderful. You're absolutly right, less is more. Thanks for the message on my blog, unfortunatly it's not a temple. But I can find spirituality in the gardens. Have a nice day!
amazing pictures, all of them here! I love lOVe LOVE your place!
i love the simple drops of water ...
cute little blobs of water!!! I am agree with you quality is much more important than quantity, but then again, I can't help when a sale going on. :(
Thank you for this week's theme. I felt your spirit during this week, looking at and for 'white'.
I think you embody 'white' and the appreciation of simplicity and clarity in all you do.
Lucky you have Salvation Army to give things too. Here it's hard to find where to donate things. So every so often we take a booth in a flea market and lighten up that way!
Happy beautiful white days to you, Natsumi:-)
10 years is a long time! and there's no doubt that you'll have a lot of possession during that time. but i do agree on making your life simple. and only keeping what you really need!
すごくきれい! :)
Beautiful objects and photos, very pure and zen atmosphere!
I love your idea for the corner view theme!
Photos are beautiful!
Light, white and water.
Simple life elements.
The drops on the plate set my mind racing. Are they sweatdrops from serving? Tears from crying it eyes out? After all the set was brought from Japan. Whatever it was the photos are fantastic.
Greetings from London.
Definitely agree w/ you on q'ty. Quality is the main core of my life style, and I look for the best what ever I do. I can not forget those Kaizen works I had in the biz life.
Very lovely page you've. Keep up good work. Isutanbuuru kara konnichiwa:)
Beautiful! We live by those words. There is so much more to life than 'stuff'!
Happy Day, Natsumi!
Hello,Natsumi-3!
What a nice gift!!!Really sinple & beautiful, exactly my style too.
Possessions usually expand gradually unconsciously,I also found many stuff in my room & basement store room in stockholm after 2 years I moved there. And I also like charity store,I both donate and purchase from salvation army, red cross, city mission owned stores where sell those things to make money for orphanage, homeless people.schools etc.I found "Good will"in USA in September.
Having things you like and need is cool and i agree with the idea you mntioned; "quality is more important than quantity
September is over-HOW TIME FRIES!!
Please take care!!
*My blog is under construction with no articles...I set only basic profile the other day

there are people in France called the "diminishing".They chose to live better with less. A new ethic of life they bring into daily actions ...
Your gesture is as good as theirs!
i like this post. and agree less is more.
It's juste so pure ... perfect white !
Hi!! I want you to play a long in a tag game, please visit my blog for further info!
natsumi
when i read about this cv's theme, i thought that only you could think in "white". i think this looks so much with you!
you did a great choice and a great post!!
happy weekend!!
xoxo
I have moved so very many times & agree that less is more- but oh, it can be hard to do! I have no furniture (we rent furnished homes wherever we go) but lots of clothes, art and art supplies that come along to help make me feel at home. Lovely post as usual!
Yes, less is more. Beautiful pictures.
Love your white theme! And you made me decide to clear the house of all the stuff I don´t need anymore.
Twice a year I clear out and feel much better.
Have a great Sunday!
Just wonderful! I like the idea to reduce to the essential...
this is your forte, natsumi. i love the way you take things down to their essence. great theme!
I REALLY love these images. I think the Japanese interprets minimalism in their own unique way, one which I really adore. And I see it in your work :)
So beautiful, Natsumi-san - white is my favourite colour too. I totally agree about 'living simple' - I used to keep everything but now am much better and bring lots of stuff to charity shops :) Thank you for all the lovely links too, you are an inspiration! kx
there is something very special about your blog I just love it!!!
