Corner view / the beach

The corner view of this week is the beach!
This is my hometown in Japan and a photo of me and my brother.
I grew up in the rural countryside on the Southern coast of Japan
surrounded by beaches and mountains, which became my playground.

My parents house is one block away from the beach...

My father used to take me out fishing when I was a girl.

I always love the smell of ocean....

I love your photos.
I came here 'expecting' to see NY, and it's Japan.
The funny thing, it feels so close to home for me.
Why is it that I want to say 'natsukashii'?!
Maybe I grew up in Japan in a past life!

By the way, yes, the photo on my post is Oita. Same beach in Hiji.
Where are yours from? Did you grow up in Oita?

Hope you have a happy today:)

that picture of you and your brother is just too cute :)

i'm always dreaming of travelling to japan, particularly the country side. and i will, one day! last year i saw the film 'megane (glasses)' do you know it? it's set on one of the southern japanese islands, a very poetic film.

Bel endroit du monde pour grandir.
Le Japon m'attire de plus en plus depuis que je le découvre sur la blogosphère.
A bientôt

Oh I love it.
I never knew that Japan had beaches like the ones in your picture. I'm learning so much from Corner View.
And you are so right about the smell of the ocean - Love it.

lol, he's cute though! I think you could put a screen of some kind over the bulbs until they're big enough plants. (That's what I do with my garden).
